  1. Log into your Love of Knowledge account and in most web browsers it will take you right to the “My Classes” page.

  2. If you should land on the “MY ACCOUNT DASHBOARD” page, on the left hand side of the page you will find the link to the video page, click on the "MY CLASSES"  link.

How does the search field work on the "MY CLASSES" page of my Love of Knowledge account?

We have set this search field to look at ONLY words in the class title. Note, we only put the name of a machine in the title of the class if the class only refers to that machine. There are other classes that will use your machine's features, but were filmed with other machine models or done 'generically'.

How can I find classes in my Love of Knowledge account that I might be interested in watching?

Here are the various the ways you can look for classes in your Love of Knowledge account. All suggestions are based on you being on the “MY CLASSES” page in your Love of Knowledge account:

COMPLETE LIST OF CLASSES:When you first go to the “MY CLASSES” page the class list is not expanded.
  1. Click the phrase “Click here to your classes [+]” to expand and see all class titles. See screen shot example. Expand class list
  2. If you want to know the description for a class title, place your mouse pointer over the class title and the class description will pop-up.Class Description
USING SEARCH FIELD: When looking for something specific, try using the “Search Classes” feature found under the video viewing window. NOTE, this feature searches for words found ONLY in the class title.
  • See highlighted area in the screen shot. Type a word or words into the “Search Classes” field.Search word
  • Use a key word when searching or a particular Baby Lock product name, examples: Destiny, Triumph or Valiant.
  • If there are various versions of the same machine, use the first version of the machine name without the “2” or “II” since those original classes may also apply to your machine, examples Destiny [not Destiny II] or Crown Jewel [not Crown Jewel III].
  • Click on the desired title from the pop-up list and it will automatically load the class into the viewing window.
COURSE CATALOG:This list includes the class title, skill level of the class, class description, instructor, and the product(s) featured.
  • Use this link to get the most current/updated version of the Course Catalog: http://bit.ly/SAHCourseCatalog
  • Although we might add classes at various times during a month, the course catalog is only updated about once a month. All Course Catalogs are dated at the bottom of the pages so you’ll know when it was last updated.
  • The catalog allows you to see all classes in categories with their descriptions. It also gives you the exact title so you know what words to type in the “Search Classes” field.

How can I view my class handouts/notes on my iPad?

All the class notes are in PDF format**. Working with the PDF class handouts on your iPad is not like working with them in a regular computer (MAC or PC). “Apple Support Communities” posts these specific instructions for using PDF files on your iPad:

You will need an app that can save pdf files on the iPad. That is the way it works in iOS. There is no folder file structure like you have on a computer. Documents and files are saved within apps that are compatible with those files for viewing and/or editing.

Download iBooks or Adobe Reader. Both apps are free. Email the pdf to yourself.

Tap and hold down on the pdf or on the pdf icon and a window will pop up with three options

  • Quick Look - tap that to open the file
  • Open in iBooks - tap that to open the pdf in iBooks where the file will be saved
  • Open In - tap that and you can select Adobe reader and the pdf will open and be saved.

**Note your class downloads may also include files you can't open on your iPad, such as machine stitch files.
